Terms of ServiceLast updated June 19, 2026These terms govern your use of Groundtruth, a real-world data-collection marketplace operated by Outerscope LLC (Texas, USA). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The serviceGroundtruth connects “data buyers”, who post paid data-collection tasks, with “contributors”, who complete those tasks by capturing media on their devices. We provide the platform; we are not a party to the underlying data licence between a buyer and a contributor except as described below.

Your accountYou must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

Contributors• You may only submit media that you captured and have the right to share, and you must have the consent of any identifiable person and the owner of any private property shown.• When a buyer approves your submission and payment is released, you grant that buyer a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the approved submission for the purpose stated in the task (which may include training and evaluating AI models).• You are paid the reward stated on the task for each approved submission. Buyers are not charged, and you are not paid, for submissions that are rejected.

Buyers• You fund tasks in advance. Funds are held and released to contributors only when you approve a submission.• You receive the licence to approved submissions described above and are solely responsible for using that data lawfully, including compliance with applicable privacy and AI regulations.• Task instructions must be lawful and must not request content that infringes others’ rights or privacy.

PaymentsPayments and payouts are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms. Contributor payouts require a connected Stripe account. Platform fees, if any, are disclosed in the app.

Acceptable useYou may not use Groundtruth to capture or distribute illegal content, content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, sexual content involving minors, or personal information about non-consenting individuals. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers and liabilityThe service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Outerscope LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

TerminationYou may stop using Groundtruth at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the service and its users.

Governing lawThese terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

ChangesWe may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
